Mark Nepo––poem

poem by Mark Nepo (excerpt)

It doesn’t matter how we come
to this. We may jump to it or be
worn to it. Because of great pain.
Or a sudden raw feeling that this
is all very real. It may happen in a
parking lot when we break the eggs
in the rain. Or watching each other
in our grief.
But here we will come. With very
little left in the way.
When we meet like this, I may not
have the words, so let me say it now:
Nothing compares to the sensation
of being alive in the company of
another. It is God breathing on
the embers of our soul.

When You Came to Me––Poem by Dorothy

In my awakening many years ago, I was thrown into ecstasy.  People often ask what ecstasy feels like.
This is my attempt to answer.  It is not sexual, but rather spiritual love that is erotic.  There is no touching, just enlivening of every cell and pore.  It is the unconditional love that meets one in heaven as well as in childbirth for some and in music or poetry for others.

When You Came to Me

(for all who know what  it is to have a heavenly lover)

Heavy with desire
I came to you.

You, the consummate lover,
took me into your unseen arms:
lightning, frequencies seasoned in eternity,
kisses shaped in other realms,
what could I do but relent?

At last I lay on the floor,
arms outstretched,
and prayed for mercy.

But you were no candles
and soft incense lover.
You were there each morning,
in wait at midnight.

When Zeus came to Semele
she turned to dust.

And I bore it all.

Now all I have
is memories and words
to comfort me.
Like a melody once heard
that clings.
Like a face once seen
that fades and remains as mystery.

Who were you?
What was I?
What was the purpose
of our meeting?

Tell Me

Tell Me

Tell me I am radiant
I will glow.

Tell me I am loving
I will embrace you,
kiss you many times over.

Tell me I am who you are
I will believe you,
You are my sister, brother,
chosen companion and mate.

How could we be separate,
we are one the way
paper is one both sides,
flower, stem and bloom,
poet and poem.

Consciousness and the New Paradigm––Adrian David Nelson

Consciousness and the New Paradigm
March 3, 2016
Adrian David Nelson
These days a lot of people talk about a ‘new paradigm.’ In the modern world there are paradigm shifts taking place everywhere, from ecology, economics and health, to physics and cosmology. For many, however, when we’re talking about the new paradigm, we’re talking about something bigger: an approaching shift in thinking that, when realized, will constitute a deep collective change in the way we see our place in the universe.

I recently attended the 2016 Architects of the New Paradigm conference in Northern California, where a diverse cast of speakers spoke truth to power on a range of issues, from new energy solutions to the disclosure of government secrets. I think, perhaps, of all these on-going ‘revolutions’ in our perception, the most profound and consequential of these rests with the nature of perception itself. That is, new theories and evidence arriving from modern research suggest that the heart of our experiencing self, the unique natural phenomenon we have called ‘consciousness’, is more than an incidental emergence in the human animal, it reflects something fundamental about the way reality is organized.

In science and philosophy a movement is now taking place -a growing openness toward deeper views of mind. There are many reasons why, including discoveries in physics, yet perhaps the driving factor has been a widening recognition of the difficulty of explaining consciousness in purely material terms. As a psychologist and journalist, I’ve followed this movement to places I never expected to find myself. For example, in delving into the research of scientists like Dean Radin, Robert Jahn, and Rupert Sheldrake, I learned that at least some categories of psychic phenomena actually occur – and under rigorously controlled conditions.

Over nearly three decades, experiments conducted by researchers at Princeton University revealed that when people direct their intention to a physical random system the outputs will often shift in line with their intentions. Outside any ordinary physical contact, the reported effect seems impossible to reconcile within any materialist understanding of the mind.

Other research exploring this mysterious mind-matter interaction found that a network of random systems located all around the planet mysteriously respond to collective shifts in attention of entire populations. The Global Consciousness Project, led by psychologist Roger Nelson, found that when dramatic world events occur, and millions of minds respond with similar emotions; strange patterns of order emerge in the data. Where attention goes, order mysteriously flows.

Perhaps equally surprising to me was that deeper views of consciousness are increasingly expressed by mainstream scientists and philosophers. Believe it or not, a leading theory of consciousness in mainstream neuroscience today, ‘integrated information theory’ is actually a form of ‘panpsychism’, in which the fundamental information underlying the physical world has both an objective and subjective pole. Consciousness, as the theory goes, is matter viewed from within.

Today world-renowned philosophers, including David Chalmers, Freya Mathews, Thomas Nagel, and Galen Strawson tell us that Western science has profoundly overlooked the significance of consciousness, and that its origins lie not in us, but in a fundamental interior quality of the world. They argue that science’s external mapping of nature both implies and requires an interior, qualitative dimension that grounds it in reality. In other words, consciousness. The self-realizing, self-referential qualities unique to consciousness may also be necessary to explain why anything at all exists.

I found similar views expressed by mainstream physicists and cosmologists attempting to understand our larger cosmic situation. Paul Davies is among a number of thinkers who argue that the astonishing fine-tuning of the universe -which has permitted the evolution of complex observers, cannot be adequately explained by summary referral to a multiverse. In light of a catalogue of worries, including paradoxes, logical inconsistencies and infinite regressions, Davies argues that the universe may actually require the evolution of life and mind. Perhaps, offers Davies, existence necessitates an ability to be ‘self-knowing’ and this entails the evolution of life. Another physicist, the celebrated father of ‘inflation theory’ Andrei Linde, has urged his colleagues to remain open-minded toward a fundamental place for consciousness in quantum mechanics. ‘Avoiding the concept of consciousness in quantum cosmology’, he warns, ‘may lead to an artificial narrowing of our outlook.’ Linde is one of several respected physicists who have pointed out that the quantum wave function of the entire universe could not evolve in time without the introduction of a relative observer.

In considering such cosmic questions, the philosopher Thomas Nagel observes that our standard materialism neither explains nor anticipates the coming into existence of purposive, conscious beings like us. For Nagel, the mysterious mind-body problem has far reaching implications that transcend our more immediate attempts to understand the human mind, it invades our understanding of the entire universe. Nagel argues that the existence of consciousness hints to a cosmic imperative toward life and mind – as though the evolution of consciousness is implicit to the cosmic process. We are, he offers, the universe ‘gradually waking up.’

So what does all this mean for us? Why is this growing openness to deeper views of consciousness, as I argue, among the most profound shifts now occurring for our species? The answer, I think, is that consciousness is ultimately who we really are. There is a profound and consequential distinction between the old materialist view, in which we are isolated fragments of illusory experience in a doomed and meaningless universe, and the now emerging view, in which we are each of us truly conscious participators in an on-going unfoldment of cosmic creativity. In my book, Origins of Consciousness, I call this modest though growing shift in thinking, the intrinsic consciousness movement.

Our modern seeking is revealing a profound new picture of consciousness, not dissimilar to that described by mystics for millennia. We are learning that consciousness is real and intimately bound up with the world. In a universe in which consciousness is intrinsic to nature’s workings, we can see ourselves as invested into a larger matrix of meaning that transcends and includes our lives. The emerging view may not only shed light on some of the most enduring mysteries of modern science and philosophy, it offers, I think, a unifying and catalyzing vision, in which we and all life are truly ‘in this together’ – an integral part of a larger cosmic process. We, in our core identity, are the universe coming to know itself. That, for me, changes everything.

Adrian is a psychologist and author currently interning at IONS. His new book, Origins of Consciousness(2016), is now available on Amazon.

Lawrence Edwards––poem to the Beloved

On Oct 30, 2019, at 7:05 AM, Lawrence Edwards wrote:

Dear Dorothy,

Om Kali Ma!  This gift appeared in Her field of Consciousness this morning.  Here we are Dorothy, two old souls besotted on the wine of Her ecstacy!  Let the pundits roam the arid deserts of religion and philosophy, we'll drink deeply from Her wellspring!

My Beloved brought me to Her
midnight black portal,
entryway to mysteries beyond mysteries.
I peered into the Infinite Dark,
Her formless Presence,
knowing the boundless Love
of ecstatic dissolution
She was drawing me into.
Fear and trepidation have long fled,
yet ecstatic trembling seizes this body!
O the blissful anticipation that is given
to mind and body, heart and soul!
Her luscious embrace pulls
what remains of a me
into the dark,
now, suddenly, radiant
with flames of Love blazing everywhere!
All is aflame!
All is alight with Her fire!
She is the Fire, the Love,
birthing infinite forms,
all within Herself,
all radiant with Her
Living Presence!
All forms are Her!
Only Her, dancing everywhere!
O my Beloved,
grant this vision to everyone!
How can we breathe without knowing
the Fire of Your Love?

The Aged Poet Speaks

 ·
The Aged Poet Speaks (fun poem)

Now that I am ninety
I shall wear a veil and
long flowing garments
and carry a long cigarette holder
(though I no longer smoke)
and speak in a low Talulla Bankhead voice
and constantly scribble
in a little notebook
I carry with me at all times.

When my admirers crowd around
I shall demand silence
as I drop my pearls
of verse and wisdom
at their uncaring feet.

I will read favorite poems
on request, though at times
I wonder at the choice.
Later many will request my autograph
which I shall obligingly furnish
in my own indecipherable scrawl
along with a smirk
that passes for a smile.

At home I will relax
with a snack
and a bit of drink,
even though my physician
says no,
but I think,
what the hell,
you only live once.

My walls are adorned with
pictures of my loving fans,
many famous names
mostly now deceased,
several of whom were
my lovers,
though sometimes
these days
I get their names and sexes confused.

Then I will go to sleep in the bed
that Charlotte has prepared for me
getting ready for another day,
another public performance.

There is a long tradition of mixing the serious with the less serious, often the comic. Shakespeare did it in his plays, T. S. Eliot did it with his poems on cats. In Greek myth, Baubo was an irreverent old woman who cheered up Demeter when she was mourning her lost daughter (Persephone) by reciting obscene passages.

Neither Mirabai nor Rumi––poem by Dorothy

Neither Mirabai nor Rumi

No Mirabai or Rumi
could flourish here.
Their innocence was their charm,
an indulgence not granted today.

Now our task
is doubly hard.
We must be the actor
in the play
and the critic observing,
analyzing, putting things
in perspective.

In a way,
we know too much.
We have lost our innocence,
our unregarded actions.

We are both playwright and
editor, protagonist and drama coach,
someone who follows the
speaking poet within
and yet heeds the ever present director/witness
who also speaks and gives advice.

Such is our task,
our assignment in this curious world.

Joe Dispenza, Master Teacher, Healer

(Above picture is of Royal Raymond Rife, found on internet)

Joe Dispenza, Master Teacher, Healer

I have recently become enamored of Joe Dispenza, who seems to have knowledge and power coming from other realms.  My suspicions were confirmed last night when I listened to a conversation on Youtube recorded with LilouMace TV in England.  It is also listed on Youtube as "Giant Invisible Beings with Joe Dispenza." This interview confirms my suspicions, for Joe is indeed in touch with other worldly beings, who, under the right circumstances, aid him in his healings.

These events hold a special interest for me and I will explain why below.

When these beings appeared to Joe, he was told that they were especially interested in working with him and his clients because the frequencies in the room where he presented his workshops were raised sufficiently for them to connect with the subjects.  Otherwise they could not help them for their own energies were far too strong for ordinary humans to bear.

The success they enjoyed is evident from the remarkable testimonies by certain subjects who benefited greatly from such contact.

Now here is why I am especially interested in these amazing healings.

About 10-15 years ago when I was living in San Francisco, I was invited to try a "Beam Ray," a spin off of the earlier frequency healing device developed by Royal Raymond Rife in the thirties, who demonstrated beyond doubt that his device could in fact cure cancer and other diseases.  I simply went for a trial demonstration out of curiosity and was not seeking any cure for some ailment.  However, as I sat on the edge of my friend's bed with the beam ray turned on, I had a strange perception.  I sensed that the "cure" that some received was often not the result of the frequencies themselves, but rather from certain "E.T.s" who in effect used the frequencies to "ride in" to our realm.  I saw in my "vision" creatures with strange heads and eyes, just as they are commonly portrayed in today's popular culture.

I pondered this notion but drew no conclusion.

A few days later I was crossing an asphalt street in an area near my house and once more was wondering whether the healings came from the "E.T.s" or the frequencies alone, when I noticed some letters embossed in silver on the asphalt by my feet.  The letters were "E.T.s ."  I was of course quite surprised by this synchronicity but thought to myself, "Well, that answers my question," and let it go at that.

Now I am wondering how it is that both approaches (beam ray channel for alien healers and Joe's invisible helpers) both stress the importance of having the right frequencies to allow the extra terrestrial helpers to do their work properly.

As for the early genius Royal Raymond Rife, the establishment ruined his career, confiscated his equipment, and left him to live out an impoverished old age in disgrace and humiliation.  Such is the fate of those whose discoveries threaten the money making institutions that control our health system, even though their inventions could save untold lives.

The Monk and the Cat

"The page of the Reichenau Primer on which Pangur Bán is written...
"Pangur Bán" is an Old Irish poem, written about the 9th century at or around Reichenau Abbey. It was written by an Irish monk, and is about his cat. Pangur Bán, 'White Pangur', is the cat's name, Pangur meaning 'a fuller'. Although the poem is anonymous, it bears similarities to the poetry of Sedulius Scottus, prompting speculation that Sedulius is the author. In eight verses of four lines each, the author compares the cat's happy hunting with his own scholarly pursuits."

The monk and his cat, Pangur Bán

(from the Irish by Robin Flower)

I and Pangur Ban my cat,
'Tis a like task we are at:
Hunting mice is his delight,
Hunting words I sit all night.

Better far than praise of men
'Tis to sit with book and pen;
Pangur bears me no ill-will,
He too plies his simple skill.

'Tis a merry task to see
At our tasks how glad are we,
When at home we sit and find
Entertainment to our mind.
The Monk and the Cat

Oftentimes a mouse will stray
In the hero Pangur's way;
Oftentimes my keen thought set
Takes a meaning in its net.

'Gainst the wall he sets his eye
Full and fierce and sharp and sly;
'Gainst the wall of knowledge I
All my little wisdom try.

When a mouse darts from its den,
O how glad is Pangur then!
O what gladness do I prove
When I solve the doubts I love!

So in peace our task we ply,
Pangur Ban, my cat, and I;
In our arts we find our bliss,
I have mine and he has his.

Practice every day has made
Pangur perfect in his trade;
I get wisdom day and night
Turning darkness into light.

Mary Oliver––Yes! No!

Yes! No!

poem by Mary Oliver

How necessary it is to have opinions! I think the spotted trout
lilies are satisfied, standing a few inches above the earth. I
think serenity is not something you just find in the world,
like a plum tree, holding up its white petals.

The violets, along the river, are opening their blue faces, like
small dark lanterns.

The green mosses, being so many, are as good as brawny.

How important it is to walk along, not in haste but slowly,
looking at everything and calling out

Yes! No! The

swan, for all his pomp, his robes of grass and petals, wants
only to be allowed to live on the nameless pond. The catbrier
is without fault. The water thrushes, down among the sloppy
rocks, are going crazy with happiness. Imagination is better
than a sharp instrument. To pay attention, this is our endless
and proper work.

When the Angel Came––poem by Dorothy

When the Angel Came

Then the angel came.
It arrived in a halo of fire
so intense we hid our eyes.

Some dropped to their knees.
Others wept.

Then, although it spoke no words,
it gave us a message
that we all could comprehend.

It gave us truths
we had forgotten.
It reminded us of things
that we knew
but failed to practice.

For some, it quoted
from the holy books
they each revered.
For the rest, it gave old words
full of new meanings.

Finally, one of us
asked its name.

It paused, and then as it
swept away
(again in a blaze of fire)
it answered "Love"
and the sound echoed
through the heavens
and across the universe
before it became a full throated song
by the same name.

Preparing––poem by Dorothy

Preparing

Be drunk on love
for love is all that exists.
                      RUMI

In death I will forfeit what
I thought of as my body
and go to be a formless being
that will now possess
 even a new name.

Where I will be,
how I will live,
what I will do
to occupy my time
I do not know.

Yet I think
there will still be ways
to be in touch,
since I will be  invisible
and the powers that lead me
also will not be seen.

We will be drawn
to those who need us here
and help them in secret ways.
They will be filled with love
and sense that this
is the power that binds,
seen to unseen, mighty
to small.

Now is the great leap of faith,
preparing to join that which
I do not know,
to listen to what
I cannot hear.

Rumi poem––In death I lose a body

in death I lose a body
and He will lose
my phantasies of Him

I go shirtless
to this lovemaking

my body becomes all soul
every hairtip alive

love, enter this body's house
or I must leave it
to seek you

my soul is a ship
scudding the waves
in pursuit of love

be drunk on love
for love is all that exists

mother and father played at love
and one such as you
sprang from nothingness...

Exploring how Mystery Schools can create a Magnificent FuThis symposium is an extended exploration of the many ways that mystery schools are alive and active today, and the role that we can play in shaping the future of this world. A mystery school is a gathering of pioneering individuals working together to dramatically shift the course of the future. Deep inside many of us know that something wonderful is possible for this world, but none of us can create that future on our own - it can only be done together. We can learn how to support and teach each other so we can tap into the hidden sources of love and wisdom that wait for us in the heart and mind of the cosmos. Together we can awaken each other to our true potential and unlock the higher human capacities that will change everything for everyone. This symposium is an extended exploration of that incredible possibility.

The Mystery School for a New Paradigm Online Symposium starts November 9 and we wanted to remind you to register now so you won’t miss any of the event.

On Saturday, November 9 the symposium starts with our first seminar. After that you will receive one recorded seminar each day. The symposium ends with a live online event with Jeff Carreira on Saturday, November 16.

Here is the full line up of seminars:

Subtle, Subtle Yoga––Anonymous

Subtle, Subtle Yoga

Here is a letter I received recently from a woman who has experienced the same kind of diffuse "ecstasy" that I have.  Like me, she has been able to experience the bliss flows merely by moving her hands and fingers in imperceptible ways.  She is the first person I have ever met who has been able to do this (other than me).  I call this phenomenon "subtle, yoga," as opposed to the"gross" (large) moves that characterize the asanas of traditional yoga.  I was quite pleased to hear from her.  It was a bit like encountering someone from my own lost tribe.  I think that acquiring such abilities is part of our widespread transformation into a new stage of evolution.

Dear Dorothy,

I hope you are doing fine. Today I would like to tell you about my latest Kundalini adventures.

Since I saw your interview with Rick Archer and was reminded of those tender, tiny movements of fingers and hands which obviously make Kundalini energy flow in some of us, I made it my almost daily practice to experiment with those hand movements.

Usually I am in a relaxed state then after having meditated for a while. What happens is that only the slightest finger moves make me feel the Kundalini. Often it starts in the heart chakra and I feel very emotional as if stuck emotions were melting. Then it moves on to other parts of the body, arms, legs and base chakra. What happens next is that the energy becomes so intense that I get up and start to move the whole body.

And without thinking my body performs most interesting movements which resemble dancing in an Asian style or yoga or qi gong exercises. Big strong movements while I am standing, sitting or lying on the floor, which I never learned, and I did not do much yoga in my life. One posture looks like the image of “Shiva dancing”.

As I see it those movements aim at stretching, rotating, strengthening the spine so that Kundalini is able to flow without being stopped by blockages.

And then last Tuesday I practiced in that way. I was standing upright and stretched my arms up above my head and it happened: Kundalini rose from the base chakra all the way up through the spine, through the head and through my arms and finger tips. A swift flow, gentle but powerful, like a whole body orgasm, almost indescribable. The energy flowed and flowed without meeting any obstacles in the body system. Oh my God, this was ecstasy. I felt like a torch of light. And it did not stop. But I was still conscious and could use my will power (I am referring here to your blog entries about ecstasy) and after a while I decided to come back to my everyday life. Which made the energy flow subside.

And I had a similar experience yesterday. It is incredible.

I am sharing this with you, dear Dorothy, because you are a witness for me, a kind of confirmation that this mystery really happens. And maybe my story is helpful for those people who contact you with their questions about Kundalini.

There would be more to write, but so much for today.

All the best and much love to you

The Messenger––poem by Dorothy

The Messenger

Yes, I know,
I volunteered for this assignment.
Instructions were sewn into my spine
so I would know what to do.

I was sent to the middle realm,
the place where things
have substance and heft.
I was given to parents
who were kind
but did not recognize me.
It was difficult
to be a child among others
who were so very different
from who I was.

It took me many years
to understand all this.
Kundalini was the mode,
the teacher, the one who
told me my true name,
gave me messages
pointing the way.

I did the best I knew how
to share with the others,
the unawakened ones
yearning to be stirred.
I used poetry, speaking,
books.
I wanted them to know
that they too were composed
of light, of music–– their
corpuscles and cells were
singing to them
night and day.

I did not attempt to open them
too abruptly, but encouraged
each one to be inspired
and find their own path,
lotus unfolding.

I had many unseen helpers
guiding me on,
helping me through the
many (but  minor) challenges of health,
 or when my heart
was so often broken
in this unfamiliar realm.

At first it was very lonely.
I had no real human companions
or mentors, and I did not trust those
who sat on thrones and proclaimed
a single truth.

Finally, I saw great changes
in my world
as authentic teachers arose,
groups banded together
to accomplish essential goals,
new means of communication
emerged.

I will be leaving soon.
All I can offer now
is my blessings,
my wishes for a continuing
smooth transition on earth
as the new species emerges.
Others will carry on
this necessary work.
I will watch with gratitude
from the some other place.
It is possible that if I am needed,
I may return.
Difficult as it is,
I like it here
and would in fact accept another assignment.

Something somewhere
wanted me to say these words.

Someone Tells Me––poem by Dorothy

Someone Tells Me

Someone tells me
this image is not Shiva.
Not a god, does not
exist.

Does Michangelo's God
on the ceiling exist?
Did Buddha?
Bodidharma,
whose name I carry inside?

Do I exist?  Do you?
Am I a phantasm wandering
through the grounds
of an imaginary world?

Am I a creature
invented by myself?

This is what enlightenment
insists upon.
Many are devastated
by this news, don't know
where to turn.
They wish to continue
as they think they are,
not be swallowed by nothingness.

The form does not matter.
We are each real
in an invisible world.
We are each connected
by an unseen thread
to that which endures
and holds us steady
on our way.

When Shiva comes
into your body
you will know
whether he is real.
When delight suffuses
your being,
you will not have questions.

EDITOR’S NOTE: The Master Key by Robert Peng, a featured speaker in The Shift Network’s 2019 Qigong Global Summit, is one of the most profoundly important books I’ve ever read. I can say that it’s life-changing with complete confidence, because it changed my life before I even finished reading it. I was so impressed with this book that we’ll be serializing the section called “One Hundred Days of Darkness and Night” in future issues of Catalyst. You can read the first installment here.
— Phil Bolsta

The stories in this issue’s “The Nicest Thing” section come from two featured speakers in the Awakening Your Kundalini Summit — Kia Miller, an internationally celebrated yoga teacher and your summit host… and Maya Fiennes, an author, yogi, and musician who travels the globe teaching a mix of Kundalini yoga, Tai Chi, and Qigong.

We’d love to hear your answer to the question, What practices have you engaged in to harness the powerful spiritual energy within you and awaken your full potential? To share your thoughts in our Facebook Page community, click here.

When you don’t go within, you go without.

A Personal Invitation to the November 5–8 Awaken Your Kundalini Summit From Your Host, Kia Miller

Hi, my name is Kia Miller. I'm excited to be hosting an online summit covering the topic of Kundalini as a vehicle for healing, for awakening our inner potential, and for accessing highest states of awareness and consciousness.

Kundalini is not some esoteric principle. It's a force within each and every one of us. The ancient yogic texts reference it, modern scientists talk about it, and you can access it through specific practices and approaches to life.

The Master Key
By Robert Peng, a featured speaker in The Shift Network’s 2019 Qigong Global Summit

It's 1972 in the industrial city of Xiangtan, China. A frail child with a heart condition sneaks into a hotel boiler room and befriends the elderly yet vibrant attendant, who eventually reveals his true identity as a revered Qigong master. He heals the boy and, for the next 13 years, secretly teaches him the keys to unlocking the spiritual and healing dimensions of the Life Force.

It sounds like a modern-day fable, but the story is true. And with The Master Key, that grateful student, Robert Peng, invites all of us to enter the next chapter of this empowering path. Here, Master Peng brings together the unique insights of his teacher with the moving account of his own journey.

Click here to read the first installment of this profoundly moving book.

In this special video series, prominent authors, speakers, thought leaders, and others answer the question, “What is the nicest thing a non-family member has ever done for you?”

Kia Miller’s Story

EXCERPT: When you first asked this, one story came to mind because it was quite unexpected. I lived in London for many years and I worked as a model in London and in different parts of Europe. And as a model, I guess one expects, usually there's an ulterior motive when people are offering things. But there was this one occasion where I worked with a director...

Maya Fiennes’ Story

EXCERPT: So that's when I was invited to go to a dinner party at Prince Andrew’s and the Royal Family. And as soon as I arrived there, I saw this amazing, beautiful piano, nine foot, handmade, engraved with different colors. And Prince Andrew was saying, “Oh, Mommy (meaning the Queen), has just given them this as a present. Nobody knows what to do because nobody knows how to play. And I go, “But I can play.”

Kundalini: Accidental Discovery or Evolutionary Gift?
Video Interview with Raja Choudhury (a featured speaker in the Awaken Your Kundalini Summit)

EXCERPT: That is the question of the ages: Why were we as human beings given a gift of divinity, yet it was hidden from us? Why? Why would it not be a part of our biological consciousness? Religions have always argued that it is something for the purest of the pure to attain, and it is not something that is for everyone. It is the opening up of a divine secret inside you. I think that that misses the whole point. I think that it was…

Seeing Through the Eyes of Love
By Maya Fiennes (a featured speaker in the Awaken Your Kundalini Summit)

As a mother, musician, composer, yogi, and author of Yoga for Real Life, my approach to yoga is about using the tools that yoga offers in day-to-day life. Everything in life we have to experience fully. We create our lives, we paint our canvas, we write our scenario, we direct it, and we act in it. This process has a beginning, middle and end. And that’s what people get each time they come to my yoga class.

How to Create a Relationship With Kundalini Energy
By Bonnie Greenwell, (a featured speaker in the Awaken Your Kundalini Summit)

I believe marriages last because the partners have learned flexibility, mutual respect, loving attention, and facing challenges as a team. Navigating a Kundalini arising or spiritual awakening process needs the same kind of attitudes. So I have identified four characteristics useful in marriage, life, and spiritual awakening to help you find a better way to live with Kundalini.

Waorani People Win Landmark Legal Victory Against Ecuadorian Government
A Half-Million Acres of Amazon Rainforest Protected From Oil Drilling
Published in Amazon Frontlines

The Waorani people of Pastaza won a historic ruling in Ecuadorian court protecting half a million acres of their territory in the Amazon rainforest from being earmarked for oil drilling. The decision by the three-judge panel of the Pastaza Provincial Court immediately voids the consultation process with the Waorani undertaken by the Ecuadorian government in 2012, indefinitely suspending the auctioning of their lands to oil companies. The verdict also disrupts the contemplated auctioning of 16 oil blocks that cover over 7 million acres of Indigenous territory by providing an invaluable legal precedent for other Indigenous nations across the Ecuadorian Amazon.
