Only the Silence
I had to go in so deep
that almost no one
could follow me.
What I dealt with
was not things or substances,
or even dream images,
uncertain reflections.
There was nothing to mirror,
no object to depict,
stripped clean,
bare to the bone,
only the silence was real.
