Afterwards

Afterwards

Afterwards, we become instruments
tuned to a finer register of being.

We hear music
that was never sung,
craft words of wisdom that we do not
comprehend,
enter fields of light beyond understanding
and speak with tongues
of flame.

Now we are the servants
of an unknown master.

Streams of joy
flow through,
echoes of love
consume us.

We become moving figures of becoming,
always rising to a higher frequency,
ever evolving into more and more subtle
reflections of grace.

Let Go (poem by Dorothy)

Let Go

Let go of your boundaries.
Close the thinking gate
and open the portal to spaciousness.

Forget what is given,
the things and desires
that shape your life.

Let vastness
be your medium.

Give everything over
to what is real,
is invisible,
is nothing.

This is the place of beginnings,
where love is the only key,
the Beloved the only inhabitant,
yourself the only witness.

Sleepwalkers––poem by Dorothy

The Entitled

They are all walking around us
as if they were dead or
in trance.

They crave new and shiny things
with wheels or wings,
bigger dwellings to live in,
investments that continue to rise.

They keep flying to distant
destinations in their personal planes,
order expensive dinners,
buy fancy clothes,
drink the finest vintage wines.

Will they fly in their own
private craft to enter heaven?
Will they wear their newest
fashions when they arrive?

If they would just pause
they might hear music
that they had never
heard before,
feel the touch of something
they did not know exists.

Yemanya––A Session

(Yemanya, me, Jacqueline Arnold, friend who also loves experiences such as this)

Yemanya––A Session

Recently I wrote about attending a public presentation by Yemanya, a gifted spiritual teacher and healer, who roused much rapture in my body as she spoke and then worked on several present.  Today I went for a private session with her.  This session was a different experience.

This time I felt no rapture as such, but rather deep, totally relaxing of various tension spots around my body.  I left feeling refreshed and nourished.  I think that often we carry tension when we are not even aware of it. Both rapture and relaxation are important modes of healing and both relate to Kundalini.  She feels that when we relax, the space between the cells opens and thus healing can occur.  I reminded her of the work of Bruce Lipton, who proved in laboratory experiments that cells exposed to a "positive' environment open and freely admit nourishment, while the opposite is the case for those exposed to a negative environment.  Thus our thoughts and life experiences influence not only how we feel but also our overall state of being.

She told me afterward that she found my energies flowed quite freely and that she found no special trouble spots in my system.  She thought I would would be good for another 50 years.  She also told me that at one point she saw my subtle body grow extremely tall and that this image reminded her of beings from Lemuria.

I asked her about my current private "practice", which is often simply circling my hands a few inches from my body, with consequent feelings of rapture.  She confirmed that I was indeed touching my own aura, and that this was the source of my delight.

She also confirmed that people are now "popping" (waking up, experiencing Kundalini) across the world and agreed that this is a time of universal transformation.  She finds that Kundalini is the best healer of all.

She is offering a class online in a few weeks' time. I plan to take it.

As I left, a gentleman waiting for his appointment commented that my aura looked very bright.  Indeed, that is how I felt.

Sensitive Ears––poem by Dorothy

Sensitive Ears

The elderly and the infirm––
they have to be careful
or the traffic will run over them.

Often they are the ones
who carry the secret
in their vest pockets
but the others
don't stop long enough
to listen.

There are books
that describe such matters
but these hurriers don't read.

Beautiful music is playing,
but they don't care to hear it.
They prefer the din of the avenue,
the roar of the market floors.

Those with sensitive ears
know what I am talking about.
The live in quiet dwellings.
Often they wear worn clothes
and walk with a shuffle.
Yet they are the ones
who have found the treasure.

When We Are Making Love

When We Are Making Love

Your god is male,
mine female.
But what difference
does it make?

When we are making love
with the invisible
gender does not matter.

All we know is the embrace
of the unnamed unfathomable
Other,
the One who finds us
in the night.

Yemanya: A Radical Healer/Psychic

Yemanya: A Radical Healer/Psychic

Today I attended the regular monthly meeting of the local Near Death Association.  I love their presenters, and often learn much from these very open talks by those who have traveled to the other side.

Today our presenter was called "Yemanya."  She proved to be the most extraordinary speaker we have had.  First of all, she mentioned that she had been a student of Nancy Tappe.  Nancy Tappe invented the color chart for various personality types years ago and the now famous 'Indigo children" were named for the position she gave them on her chart.  This mention was of significant interest to me, for many, many years ago I had received a psychic reading from Nancy in California and many of the things she mentioned came true.  For one thing, she told me that when I returned to my home in Kansas, a check would be waiting for me on my desk.  When I got back, I was disappointed to see there was no such check visible on my desk.  But when I opened my drawer, there it was.  Someone had thoughtfully placed  it out of sight.

Yemanya's talk was stunning for me, for she expertly covered virtually all the things I believe in: the world transition going on at a rapid rate, our connection to other planets in the cosmos, the role of vibration in healing.  Most important was the  energetic response I had to her own frequencies.  She talked from time to time in "light language."
This sounds like "talking in tongues" and it aroused in me indescribable feelings of blissful rapture.  I yearned to hear more and even to "go where that language is spoken."

I am setting up a private session with her while she is visiting here for a few days.  I told her I wanted to study with her and discovered that she is setting up an internet class soon.  I plan to enroll.  I have always stayed away from various teachers and gurus, but I felt that with her, the energies were such that she would be right for me.  We always need to keep opening to newer and higher frequencies as we go together through this evolutionary heightening.  We reach one stage, then integrate, then move to ever higher levels of reception.  Such is our path to human evolution.

If you want to learn more about this extraordinary woman, she has a website and also several youtube videos.  She also does sessions by Skype.  You can contact her at yemanyacarey@gmail.com or at 760-310-8688.

She is the real deal for sure.

Some Modern Thinkers

Some Modern Thinkers

They keep their skirts well away
 from the fire of transcendence.

They do not want to be scorched
by what does not exist.

They are adept at maintaining
a skeptical attitude,
testing everything in the alembic
of their own careful
scrutiny.

Thus they are able
to point out the universal flaws
in almost everything.

To do otherwise
might suggest that they were shallow,
too apt to look on the bright side
when it is evident to any astute observer
that the shadow, like dark matter,
defines most of reality,
and one must assume a
stoic attitude
and accept despair
as our given fate.

The Longing

The Longing

We long for a shangri la of the soul,
a place where those gather
who went through the portal,
flung themselves into the fire,
and became beacons of light.

We want to hear words
from the lips
of the wise ones,
those who will open us,
give us messages
from unknown realms.

We wish to hear music
that will fill our bodies
with light,
to ascend to the regions
where spirit prevails
and we become beauty.

When will out transfiguration occur?
When will the ones from elsewhere
claim us,
carry us over the worlds
to that place we ache for,
which we once knew
as home?

The Awakening

The Awakening

No one can explain to me
how this happened.
One day a jewel opened
in my head.
Its rays went forth,
turning my body into light
as it moved.

First I meditated on an image,
the great god who dances
to keep the world alive.
Then it was the one with a flute,
seducing all who listen.

After that it was sacred postures,
each a stance of rapture,
beauty racing through my veins.

Next it was music,
divine supplication
of the ears.
And mantras repeated
as I listened,
Om Navah Shivaya
Om bhur bhuva swaha
Om Om Om
Sacred syllables resonating
every corpuscle and pore.

Then I bought a tangka
and placed it on my wall.
Each morning I bowed
to Buddha,
felt ecstasy flow in my head,
my circling blood.
Each time
a new teacher within,
each from a different place
with another instruction.

And always music,
kirtan, Brahms, Krishna Das,
too rich to imagine.

The feelings of bliss
grew ever more subtle,
more refined.
Slightly moving fingers,
gentle movements
of the eyes
enough to rouse the
indescribable joy.

Hands circling around
my body,
aura stroked in bliss,
each time a miracle,
ecstasy more delicate,
more refined.

Now even a whiff of
frankincense and myrrh enough
to summon rapture,
the field of bliss.

I am becoming other
than who I have been.
I am being readied
to move onward in my life,
to ascend with the throng of us
who are also preparing
across our world.

This is the omega point,
the alchemic gold achieved.
We are all gripped by a love
who holds us
as we go through.

The One Kiss––poem by Dorothy

The One Kiss

We claim to know things
but what we know
can be written on a fingernail.

Sages and savants
issue their proclamations,
but we move always
through a dark cloud
with an uncertain light at the center.

The center is what we call god.
We keep on circling and circling
yet we never arrive
at that final point.

Yet we know
that we move ever closer
to that place of mystery,
even if we cannot locate it
with precision.

But when the Beloved arrives
we no longer care
who wins the arguments,
whose theory is correct.
All we want is the one kiss
that tells us who we are.

The Divine Alchemy––poem by Dorothy

The Divine Alchemy

The heavenly kilns
are waiting to receive us,
to shape us into a new
configuration
until every nerve and fiber
is restrung.

Angels are posted
along the way
to guide us,
but we must attend.

We must be refined in the
fires of love
again and again
until all dross is taken
and we are left
as the naked flame
of that which we are,
the being connected
to the All.

The nugget to be carried
in god's pocket,
the jewel in hiding
to be discovered
at last.

Kundalini is the goddess
in charge.

The Transition––poem by Dorothy

The Transition

Even as the world around crumbles,
the gates of heaven
are opening.
Angels good and bad
are flowing down
mingling among the crowds.

Their children are appearing
among us
with strange talents
we do not understand.

Something is carrying us
into another universe,
where colors deepen
and frequencies rise.

The old gods are wakening,
the times when the oracles spoke.

Some of us are hearing
unknown music of the sublime.
Others are seeing before them
images of holy ones, visions  of the real.

No one can explain
what is happening.

We are now captives of rapture,
of seeing beyond the veils.

We must surrender to vastness, to love.
We must become more
than we are.

Yab/yum as Ultimate

Yab/yum as Ultimate

Gaze on this image.
Let it resonate
in your body.
Become the female,
become the male,
become the two of them
united forever.
This is who you are.
You are all the opposites
combined.
The divine female/
the divine male
light/dark
earth/sky
motion/stillness
separation/unity
manifestation/source
bodiless/embodied
wisdom/compassion
god/human.

Contemplate this image
and know truth.

Let your body
become a sounding board
of the divine.

Wounded

Wounded

God found me
and  wounded me
into being.
I was safe before,
waiting for nothing
and then something
took me
into a strange place,
where I could not find God
nor hear my own voice.

"Who are these others?"
 I asked, me without words.
"Why am I here?"
I wondered.
Silence surrounded me,
resonated in my cells.

Finally I found music.
Finally I found trees.
Even words
pressed from my mouth.

Then one day
I found out who I was.
Something called love
entered my body.
Now I look around
and see myself everywhere,
shining, beautiful,
complete.

Yab/yum/Shiva/Shakti

Yab/yum/ Shiva/Shakti

They will tell you
that this image depicts
wisdom and compassion joined,
a lovely explanation,
but look again.

The god embraces himself
as female,
and she in turn becomes
who he is.

They have been locked
together like this
for countless eons,
they will continue
into eternity.

They are telling us
that we must love
all parts
of who we are,
that which is male,
that which is female,
just as these exist in all the cosmos
 in union forever
as lovers, as one.

The Savants

The Savants

They are always talking
about this and that,
looking things up in
dictionaries and encyclopedias,
quoting the authorities.

They have theories
and philosophies
that get bandied about
and debated,
presented at meetings,
published in journals.

Sometimes they occupy
chairs in well known universities,
travel across the globe
to present their conclusions
at prestigious venues.

Have they ever known
the one true moment?
Have they ever suddenly
shuddered in delight?
Have they ever felt
the single kiss
that makes them alive?

Dancers––poem by Dorothy

Dancers

All around we are seeing
a world in ruins.
I do not need to tell you
all the things going wrong.

Yet there is an another world
rising and unfolding
within and without.
The frequencies are changing.

People are feeling it everywhere
and becoming
that which is more than
they have been.

I know.
In have met them again
and again and
they are beautiful.

They are dancing
amidst the rubble,
night and day,
they are ascending,
they are making love
with the unseen.

Morning Bliss

Morning Bliss

I am sitting at my computer.  I have just scanned my inbox, with its many commentaries and announcements.

I notice energy in my hands.  I raise my arms and feel energy moving around my head.  It is soft, gentle, like rain falling on spring flowers.  I move my hands higher and higher, as far as I can reach.  I circle them near my head.  I feel something sweet, soft, extremely subtle, but bringing bliss.

I still don't know what explains this.  Am I touching and stroking my own aura?  No one has explained this to me.  If I were standing, I might feel these blissful sensations around my body.  These bring a sense of a divine connection.

Then I sneeze a couple of times.  Concentration is broken.  Session is ended.

P. S.  Later could add "Afternoon Stomach Ache."  This reaction happens to me from time time.  It is as if for every up there is a down, for every advance a step back, but both are temporary.

Now I am realizing that although I loved the session at the Symposium and the amazing people I met there, I found something about the town of Vail disturbing.  It consists of rows and rows of tall buildings containing condos owned by the very rich, who come here to ski (and pay over $100 a night for a ticket for one day).  Somehow the atmosphere of this setting did not agree with me.

I prefer trees and flowers and a few dear friends.  Maybe this place reminded me of all I spent my life escaping from.  I read Thoreau when I was young and swore I would never be a materialist.  Indeed, I have succeeded beyond my wildest dreams.

Visiting Vail

Visiting Vail

Vail is primarily noted as a ski resort.  The town itself consists of what appear to be hundreds of condos and many hotels, and during ski season the streets are packed.
However, this was not ski season and we had not gone there to ski, but rather to participate in the Vail Symposium which (for that day) was devoted to the expansion of consciousness.  I spoke on Kundalini (primarily my own Awakening experience) plus a brief description of how Kundalini and Near Death Experiences share much in common, and then on my perspective on the role of Kundalini as the prime impetus for the evolution of human consciousness.  At the end I read a few sample poems

My fellow presenters talked on such topics as other dimensions, out of body travel, and aliens (from other planets) among us.

I asked who attended these symposia, and was told that those who were interested in such subjects came from neighboring towns and ranches to attend.  Obviously, our audience was not primarily skiers as such, though some did ski from time to time.

Afterward, we attended a small get to gather in a private home, where I met many extremely interesting people.  One was a woman who followed several bands around the country, where she carefully chose her seat and then (in her words) mentally directed the  band what to play and how.  Then her body became a sounding board and she felt much bliss.

I also met a multimillionaire from India and Africa who dealt in spices that he sold over the world with great success.  He himself was very spiritual and we compared our malas.

I also met a young woman from Peru who had come to the U. S. to perfect her English.

Another woman described certain tiny crystals that she drank (in water) and declared that these had increased her energy many times over and had also thickened her hair.

I particularly enjoyed these exchanges because several people told me some of their most profound spiritual experiences.  I think they felt free to share with me because I had been so open in describing my own spiritual journey.

Once more I realized that various spiritual/consciousness groups are thriving across the world and indeed (in my view) are part of the spiritual renaissance occurring across the globe.

Leaving--poem by Dorothy

Leaving

Sometimes I wonder
how it will be.
If we will go swiftly
into that other world,
like rockets of fire
shot into space,
one moment friends
with our physical
forms, the containers
we have lived in so long
with their familiar settings,
rocks, trees, houses with furnishings,
things to be seen and touched,
and then suddenly transported
to that other realm
where all is resplendent color,
tones we have never seen,
everything charged with
a special glowing,
textures indescribable,
ourselves delirious
with love.

Or will it be more slowly,
ourselves drifting away
to gentle music,
some familiar Ave or soothing
tonal vibrations,
moving in and out of awareness
like shadows that pass over a forest,
and then return?

What will we discover
when we arrive
at this unknown
destination?
Unbearable beauty,
immeasurable love?
Our invisible guides
revealed at last?
Deep mysteries
finally unraveled?
Will we remember
or even care
what it was we left behind?

"A Stone, A Star"––poem by Dorothy

A Stone, a Star

"sometimes blocked in, sometimes reaching out,
one moment your life is a stone in you, and the next, a star.
                                                           Rilke

Was it yesterday
that everything seemed
so futile?
The trees and flowers,
blossoming too early,
now covered in snow
at this Eastertide.
Ground lacquered
with threatening ice.
Will resurrection occur?

Yet today, a familiar sun.
Outside bright and luminous,
everything emerging
in clear definition
like a cleansed painting,
even the grass wearing
a fresh skirt of green,
the clouds regaining their shape,
no longer amorphous blankets of grey
like sails spreading before a storm.

Even now I can feel things happening
underground,
 incense is rising
as if from an invisible kiln
shaping a new world,
another new beginning.

Two Unexpected Visits from the Beloved

When you go through a long Kundalini awakening process, unexpected things can happen, including surprise ecstatic visits from the Beloved.  Two of these happened to me recently.  I think I wrote about the first one, which happened as I was listening on the internet to the music of Sheela Bringi, which I found totally hypnotizing and bliss bestowing.  Another one came even more recently (yesterday) as I gazed on the image above, captured by my new friend now living in Nepal.  Here is what happened:

Ecstatic Bliss and the Yab/yum

It happened this morning (yesterday) when I was not expecting it.  My new friend now lives in Nepal near Katmandu, home of the famous stupa with the eyes of Buddha staring down at the pilgrims below who turn the prayer wheels as they pass.

Some years back, she had climbed to the highest interior levels of the stupa, where she discovered a small representation of the famous Tibetan yab/yum image of the goddess and goddess in union (Shiva and Shakti locked in embrace.)  She photographed this stunning image at that time and that was a good thing, for today these areas are no longer open to the public.

Today she sent me an enlarged digital photograph of this piece of sacred art.  I gazed on it with interest for a few minutes and then noticed sweet energies flowing in my hands.  Soon these rapturous energies entered my head and the intense bliss continued for several minutes, perhaps 10-15.  I finally closed my eyes and left the computer, but my altered state continued (though not as blissful) for some 20-30 minutes thereafter.

I then recalled that contemplation on the yab/yum (in a different representation) was a central part of my Kundalini awakening in l981.  Obviously, this is a very powerful image and indeed has been revered and worshipped by untold numbers for many generations in certain far Eastern countries.

I thought about how I would love to visit my friend in Nepal but realized that this would be totally impossible at my present age and state of health.  But a voice spoke (inside) and it said, 'You are going to Nepal."  I protested that there would be too many challenges, and the voice responded, "These will be taken care of."  I have no idea how this journey could happen.  I thought of out of body travel, teleportation, bi location (like Padmasambhava, who appeared to huge audiences in different locations at the same time), and even after-death travel.  I suppose that anything  is possible, but I will have to wait and see what happens next in this fascinating process.

I have many times felt rapture from music, movement, poetry, art work, earth itself, mantra repetition, frankincense/amber essential oil, groups in coherent energy states, other persons' energetic fields, my Buddhist thangka, and likely others modes as well.  But I have never felt such energies from a sacred representation, although once  I did feel them emanating from a  picture of the founding guru of a small ashram.

After some reflection, I recalled that this image had played a central role in my 'initiation" in 1981.  Then I had gazed at this illustration (quite different from the one above) until it induced a sensation of total ecstasy within.  In that state, my energies had shot from my root into my head and there it was indeed as if 'a thousand lotus petals opened,' as in the classic descriptions of such awakenings.  And so it was, some 37 years later, this depiction of the same image awakened deep ecstasy within, though not as intense as in the original experience.

For the Beloved Within--poem by Dorothy

For the Beloved Within

Neither male nor female.

Neither enfleshed
nor without form.

Neither nameless
nor known.

You come from elsewhere,
a place of joy

Often you arrive
without warning
in unexpected circumstances.

I call you
my Beloved.

I know you
by your kisses.

My only prayer:
"Do not leave me
here alone once more."

Consciousness Series

April 7, 2018

Vail Public Library | Vail

The Vail Symposium’s Consciousness Series has become a very popular series. To close out this season’s line-up, we’re offering a “sampler” of programs designed to delight our dedicated audience and perhaps pique the curiosity of those who have not yet explored this world of diverse topics.

Four experts will present in-depth explorations on varied topics related to consciousness. From the history and implications of out-of-body experiences and otherworldly journeys to an international perspective on extraterrestrials visiting Earth, this compendium of lectures on varied subjects will provide a stimulating and elevating experience.

9 a.m. Session One: “My personal journey through infinite realities: An exploration of our true multi- dimensional nature as awareness”
The world is made up of infinite realities, some of which we can explore in this lifetime. In this presentation, Nancy will share her transformative spiritual experiences that include her near death at the age of 18 and the life-changing 4 hours of missing time that took her off planet and taught her more about the truth of who she is this lifetime.
–Nancy Grignon, intuitive, public speaker, transformational life coach; near-death, exo-dimensional and missing time experiencer.

10:30 a.m. Session Two: “Spontaneous Kundalini awakening, bliss, and the near death experience”
There are many paths to achieving enlightenment and some experiences follow similar paths. Dorothy Walters will explore the similarities between spontaneous kundalini awakening and near-death experiences while sharing her learnings and poetry.
–Dorothy Walters, Ph.D., poet, writer, spiritual friend, awakening experiencer.

Lunch Break: noon – 1 p.m.

1 p.m. Session Three: “The history and implications of out-of-body experiences and otherworldly journeys”
Throughout human history, people have reported non-local states of awareness such as out-of-body experiences. We’ll discuss the history of this phenomenon, as well as the implications of these experiences and their potential for personal and spiritual growth.
–Gabriel Sereni, researcher, coach and mentor-guide for facilitating the development of conscious awareness via deep meditation and techniques in non-local awareness.

2:30 p.m. Session Four: “Space people who are visiting Earth: An international perspective”
Aliens who appear to be human, or at least a human-like species, have been reported for the past 60 years. Learn more about this intriguing type of alien, as well as the significance of various sightings over our nuclear installations.
–Paola Leopizzi Harris, international photojournalist, investigative reporter, teacher, author and student of extraterrestrial-related phenomena since 1979.
