Poem by Jeannine Keenan
The following poem is by Jeannine Keenan, one of my dearest friends and also one of the wisest and most gifted people I know.
Dance
By Jeannine Keenan
If I could wake while dreaming
Abandon to the dance
Not caring how the light fades.
Only my bare foot hard
On the moist ground
Sounding the earth.
Until at last I am
Only the echo of a hum
Beneath the great silence.
Even fallen leaves glisten
with rain.
