It Really Won't Matter
It really won’t matter. . .
These inspirations,
these little beadlets of love,
who am I to refuse?
Yesterday,
you wanted sugar candy kisses.
Today love songs
in your ear.
Tell me who I am
and I will keep on singing
for you.
Or who you are
and I will begin
yet another poem.
Or don’t say anything at all,
it really won’t matter.
Even your silence
is beautiful.
