Together Weaving (poem)
Together Weaving
If the world is a wedding,
as certain Sufi martyrs said,
then let there be a marriage
of the fine fibers
of the external,
that perishes,
with the delicate threads
of that which is within,
which endures,
together weaving
the intricate scarf
of who you are.
