Only the Lovemaking
The Lover is always beside you,
waiting.
The Lover is patient,
like a devoted friend,
or someone who gave you food
long ago.
But you must give the signal.
You must say,
"Now, I am ready.
Come to my bed at midnight."
The Lover will come,
still invisible,
still without a name.
Only the lovemaking
will be real.
