Awakening Prayer (poem)
Awakening Prayer
Let me know
what it is mine to know,
to feel that which is open
to my touch
and which also enters me.
Let me love others
as myself,
to be one with all
that I perceive
in my surroundings
and encounters
however
they may manifest.
And above all,
let me become ever
closer
to that which I am certain is there
but always invisible,
presence without
substance or form,
only endless love
pouring forth as a fountain
of spirit,
a font of swelling sweetness
and ever expanding light.
