Dancing with the Great Lion (poem by Dorothy)
NOTE: I WILL BE OFFLINE UNTIL SOMETIME AFTER THE 4TH. I AM OFF TO SEE THE GLACIERS OF ALASKA ON THE INLAND PASSAGE. HAPPY FOURTH TO ALL. KEEP ON DANCING WITH THE BELOVED.
Dancing with the Great Lion
I keep circling you,
pacing, checking
my watch.
You keep eyeing me,
growling in your throat,
saying, hurry, it’s time.
How long have we been
doing this dance?
How many lifetimes
have we moved like this
together?
You suggesting,
me nodding,
both of us
waiting
to see what will happen.
