Walking in Buddha’s Footsteps
In India, you can find them
seared into rock,
imprinted by the feet
of the Master himself.
Tell me,
if you step into those incisions,
will your spirit melt into
the shapes of where
you stand?
Will you then
be better,
stronger,
more forgiving,
more filled with love?
How can we,
at this distant juncture,
find such tokens
to follow?
