Still Stunned--Poem by Jan Elvee
Still Stunned
I ask myself over and over:
What happened?
A flame burned a hole in my being,
and I am grasping for insight into
this undeniable transformation.
Sometimes words help,
like a soothing ointment:
the infinite, silence,
the designing spirit, God.
Sometimes words fail.
They can't tell me
what, how, why now, why me.
If only I could surrender to the
sweeping movement of the
music, and, in the arms of my
Beloved, dance until the end of time.
