The Man of Compassion--poem by Dorothy
The Man of Compassion
You are always
finding treasures
in the dirt,
taking them home
and washing and polishing them
until they sparkle,
then placing them on the mantle piece
for all to see
where they shine and glow,
proud of who they are,
little beams of light
igniting the dark.
