Fool's Gold (poem by Dorothy)
Fool’s Gold
Who am I that I must always be pretending?
Never showing all of
who I am.
If you are not ready,
do not seek to know this
treasure.
You will only discover
fool’s gold,
fake jewelry
worth nothing at all.
Then you will proclaim
to everyone within earshot:
“Warning: this so called "secret revelation"
is in fact a joke,
a hoax, a fraud!”
Don't believe a word
of what they claim!"
