Yesterday--poem by Dorothy
Yesterday
Yesterday,
you were with me
for many hours.
I swooned into
a lake of joy,
thought I would drown
in such fervent passion.
Today, it is desert weather.
No real sun,
just bitter dust
swirling everywhere,
covering me
like a statue
made of earth.
