Listening
Yes, what I want is God talk,
words whispered into my ear,
streaming over me
like rose petals
falling from the clouds.
Syllables soothing me,
telling me
that indeed it is there,
whole and holy,
the thing we reach for,
the prize we want
and will have,
not matter what.
