No One Told Me
No one told me about
the unrelenting ongoingness,
the daily everydayness
of falling in love with God;
how it evolves and unfolds,
how it lives in my body,
constantly surprising me
by its exquisite sensuality,
its unexpected physicality.
Sudden skittish timidities,
pointless questions, how, why,
obliterated by unimaginable joy.
It seems I've finally come to my senses,
and gone utterly out of my mind.
