"There Is a Place"--poem by Dorothy
There is a Place
There is a place
that is known
only to lovers.
When they meet there
all the birds begin
to sing in unison
and the stars come out
even though the sun
is all ablaze.
The lovers speak softly
to one another
in a secret tongue
that only the lovers
can comprehend.
No one can hear
the music they make ––
its notes flow forth
in a special key
that makes the trees dance
and flowers burst into bloom.
