"Who She Is"––poem by Dorothy
I would not say
that She was Kali.
I would not say
that She was not
Kali.
I would not say
that She was Tara.
I would not say
that She
was not Tara.
I would not say
that She was the
Mother of All That Is.
I would not say
that She
was not the Mother
of All That Is.
I would say only,
“She is the one
who comes.”
Sometimes She
is male,
sometimes She
is female.
Sometimes She
is both
or neither.
I know Her only
by Her presence.
Her presence is
called My Beloved,
and when She arrives,
She becomes
who I am.
