Yes, I was the music
of your body.
I was the unstruck sound,
the holy syllable
of your soul.
I floated through you
like one cloud
sharing its gold
with another.
I touched you in
the secret places
that only true lovers
know.
I awakened your heart
to what you had
no name for.
Was it the music of the spheres
toned down so that you
could listen?
My soft vibrations
wafted through you
like the aftertones
of a chant
reverberating in
the rafters of a cathedral.
