"Tonight"––poem by Dorothy
Tonight
Tonight is the night
I have been waiting for.
The moon rising
has turned the world into other.
Light swims between the trees,
as if all things rested at the bottom
of a sea of endless radiance.
Soon I will sleep
and dream that I inhabit
that other unworldly world.
Voices will speak to me,
whispering secrets.
I will nod and smile and say,
"I know, I know."
