Humor and Joy––Ted Murray
Are you lighthearted and joyful or are you simply unaware of the challenges in the world? One of the most difficult things in today’s world is to be aware of the myriad problems that face the planet and yet remain joyful in your daily life. How can the two co-exist without you going crazy? The key is to look into the future and realize that we are entering a phase of enlightenment of the planet. Current news certainly doesn’t seem to recognize this; however, the fact that so many long-buried secrets of horrible acts are coming to light now is one sign of the awakening.
People are becoming aware of the abuse of power and are beginning to reclaim their own power. When you reclaim your power as a creative spiritual being then you have the choice of creating a joyful life. Instead of allowing fear and anger to overwhelm you, which will bind you to the negativity, instead be a beacon of light in the darkness. When you radiate joy, even with full awareness of the problems in the world, you allow others to experience the light of love that can open their heart. Humor and joy open hearts much faster than anger and fighting against injustice.
Love and Light,

P. S. I love this perspective. If we ignore all the problems of our time, we are failing to recognize what challenges we face. But if we get so involved in the shadows that are emerging that we become angry and upset all the time, we ourselves become part of the shadow. I think we should always seek balance––acknowledge the shadow but stand in the light.
