Ted Murray––Your Superpower

Dear Dorothy,

What is your superpower? We all have latent DNA that holds much more potential than we can imagine. This inactivated power has kept human beings in a state of limited capability for millennia. Those who have ben able to activate it are considered geniuses in their field and have inspired many others by their feats. Now the energies are shifting and making it possible for this DNA to become activated in everyone. However, most people will remain limited due to their own paradigm that they have been conditioned to.

If you are ready to activate your superpowers then you must be willing to take the leap of faith. Belief in possibilities is the first step. The second step is to purify your mind and body to be able to handle the additional energy and power. Then it requires practice to develop whatever skill you innately know you possess. Be prepared to look foolish while you practice the skills that may be completely dormant. Watch movies of superheroes that are meant to awaken within us the possibility of abilities beyond our current human capacity. Finally, you need to ensure that your desire for power is based on being of benefit to all of creation and not just for selfish personal gain. We all know the famous quote from Spiderman “With great power comes great responsibility.” Your superpower is needed now to help supercharge the awakening of the planet into the light-filled world we know is on the horizon.

Love and Light,
Ted

Although I agree with much of what Ted says here, I also think this is a topic that calls on us to "proceed with caution."  Imagining that we are somehow endowed with a "superpower" can lead to serious and dangerous ego inflation.   We see this clearly right now in certain national leaders who imagine they are "superpowers" who can operate in a way that is damaging to all and to our nation.  The recent film "Wonder Woman" presented a female protagonist who in effect became a violent male, with the ability to kill as one of her main attributes.  I have a friend, a long time feminist, who wept throughout the movie as she saw the values of the true (and strong) woman being presented in such fashion.

I think the Dalai Lama is a prime example of someone who has tapped into his own inner power.  He said "My religion is kindness."  Gandhi is another example.  We all have latent, unused talents and abilities that need to be cultivated, but these should always be used in the service of humanity, not to gain superiority over our fellow humans.  I believe we should all strive to be "better" and cultivate our inner capacities, but not imagine we are somehow "super" or superior.

(Of course, this is a complex topic and would benefit from fuller discussion.  I think the author and others would have much more to say on this subject.)
