After Enlightenment
After Enlightenment
After you are enlightened
it is hard to hold steady.
Blinded by light
so strong
that the mind is stunned
and the world around dissolves.
Given a vision of
that which you may not care to know.
Who wants to be told
that they do not exist?
That they are as raindrop
to sea water,
cell to self.
Possessor of a secret that you can't explain
and that you dare not share.
Yet overall you welcomed it,
it was love, love, love,
and you and the lover as one.
A memory that remains ever,
returns in modified form,
guiding you through
as you plod ahead
on the curious life you
are called to live.
