Transfiguration––poem by Dorothy
And now we approach
The keyhole,
The gap in the canyon of fate
Where we go over the falls,
Tumbling and thrashing
Into the new world,
Where are fashioned
Into an unfamiliar being,
Someone who can fly
Or change form
At will,
A thing glorified
Into a novelty,
A self who will forget
That there was a falls,
A cataract carrying us
Into a different universe.
