The Radiance Sutras––Lorin Roche
I have been listening to the love songs of
Form longing for formless.
What are these energies
Undulating through our bodies,
Pulsing us into action?
And this “matter” out of which our forms are made—
What are these dancing particles
Of condensed radiance?

I never ceased to be delighted by the gorgeous poetry and profound insights of "The Radiance Sutras." The text is readily available on Kindle. It repays constant reading and re-reading. The above excerpt is very reminiscent of the Buddhist saying "Emptiness is form, form is emptiness." I love such expressions that tell us we are not mere "matter" but rather we are made of "dancing particles of condensed radiance." This observation is in line with current quantum theory, which has discovered, finally, that we are indeed not composed of material substance but are energy fields which are in constant movement. Thus modern science ultimately arrives at the same conclusions that the rishis (wise men) discovered centuries ago. Where did the rishis gain this knowledge? Obviously they were divinely inspired and received such information from the heavenly realms.
