"Considering Matthew Shepard"––Conspirare

Dear Friends,

I humbly invite you to join Conspirare at 9 am, Friday, October 26th via live feed where we will sing at the Washington National Cathedral. The occasion is the final interment of Matthew Shepard's ashes, twenty years after he was beaten and left to die in a Wyoming field.

The Service of Thanksgiving and Remembrance for Matthew Shepard will be presided over by the Right Rev. Mariann Edgar Budde, Episcopal Bishop of Washington, and the Right Rev. V. Gene Robinson, the first openly gay priest to be consecrated a bishop in the Episcopal Church. Conspirare will sing during the service and then perform for 30-45 minutes for those attending the service while Matthew's family privately inters his ashes.

“His name was Matthew Wayne Shepard.
And one day his name came to be known around the world.”

Thank you for your support and for sharing Conspirare’s vision of a world past hate.

The beautiful outpouring of support from the Conspirare family has overwhelmed us and has made this precious invitation a reality.  All I can say is thank you, your support is so precious. You can still join this inspiring outpouring of support with a donation of $25 and help us continue to spread Considering Matthew Shepard’s message of healing, forgiveness and ultimately love to Washington D.C. and our upcoming national tour dates.
You can be a part of sharing Conspirare’s song:
·    Join us via the live feed on Friday morning.
·    Share our Facebook donation campaign with your friends.
·    Give $25 or more to our campaign to spread our message of love through
the music of Considering Matthew Shepard

With gratitude,

Craig Hella Johnson

Craig Johnson is one of the most gifted and loving among us.  His choral group Conspirare now performs across the country and abroad.  His work has won one Emmy and been nominated for another.  He and his partner Phil Overbaugh are among my closest friends and I am proud to say I know them.  This program will be live streamed at either 9 or 10 EST (not sure which).  To listen live, try https://youtu.be/FSXtHMXuaPI
Again, I am not certain this is the right location.  Also, I believe you may be able to listen later, since it will go up on Youtube.
