The Secret Path–poem by Dorothy
The Secret Path
Now is the time
to enter
the secret kingdoms,
to receive
the hidden lore.
Not all are prepared
to go here.
They would be quickly
reduced to nothingness,
flash of immolation,
Semele and Zeus.
Most pass by
without knowing,
the entrance not seen.
Once you go here,
you can never return.
What you have seen
cannot be revealed,
for you speak a new language,
paint in colors not known.
You are now
a stranger to yourself,
a being undefined.
Begin the journey
if you dare.
You will drown
many times over,
be consumed in fires
that have no end.
You may not even remember
how you got here,
why you have come.
You will have taken
the only path you could follow
for it was the one
that led you home.
