Ravished
Ravished
They want something tangible.
Something they can see,
touch, bow down to.
They do not hear
the music in the rain,
the secret messages
carried in the wind.
They craft images
in clay.
make figures
our of wood,
disdain the invisible.
They have hierarchies,
build structures to contain,
create rituals and rules,
make judgements
and pronouncements.
When the spine opens,
all other concerns
vanish,
the self is one
with truth,
becomes a living particle
of holy writ,
composed in rapture,
divine infusion,
bliss.
